The Board of Directors and Senior Leadership recognize that the diversity of the community members we serve must be reflected in every aspect of our organization for RS EDEN to have the greatest impact. We strive to promote equity through the work that we do in four investment areas: recruitment, retention and promotion practices that include diverse staff; on-going, culturally-relevant training to ensure high quality program practices; intentional partnering with diverse organizations in our community; and in cultivating an inclusive workplace in policies and actions.
Our Board of Directors serves an advisory role on equity and diversity issues, helping to assure that services to clients are culturally responsive and delivered in a manner that is relevant to differing world views, communities, and access points to services Our goal is to assist our clients in creating a sustainable, productive life in which they fully participate, prosper, and reach their full potential. The Board of Directors also aims to create an environment where all RS EDEN employees can thrive personally and professionally and get access to training and resources that enhance culturally intelligent work practices.
Culturally Intelligent Practice
Promote conscientious and culturally-informed practice with clients of our services. To treat everyone in our diverse community with dignity and respect. To understand and support clients with interventions at micro, meso and macro levels, and to understand the impact of discrimination as a profound factor in client needs and services.
