US Bank Stadium Employment Opportunity
Employment can be scary when you have not had a job for a while, especially if you have a criminal background or other barriers. The statement "you just need to get a job" is not as easy as it implies.
The US Bank Stadium offered RS EDEN housing division an exciting opportunity to create a smooth path to employment for our tenants.
US Bank Stadium provided us sixty reserved time slots for interviews during their three-day recruitment event. This opportunity allowed our tenants time to practice their interviewing skills, work on computer skills, and create or update their resume.
The housing division held its own job fair at Alliance Apartments, creating a similar environment to larger job fairs and what the tenants would experience at US Bank Stadium. The result was incredible. Forty-four of our tenants attended the initial interview process, many applying for more than one position. Tenants who could not attend this event applied directly at US Bank stadium.
On April 27, 2016, forty-two interview slots were filled for a variety of jobs in Guest Experiences with SMG, and 20 interview slots were filled with numerous food vendors organized by Aramark. A US Bank Stadium employee provided ASL interpreter services to applicants who are deaf or hard of hearing. After this second round of interviews, all applicants successfully completed the hiring process.
US Bank Stadium feedback was very positive-our tenants were well-prepared with resumes in hand. Many tenants were encouraged to interview for positions other than what they had applied. Following the final interview, one of our tenants announced that she was offered two positions immediately, one which came with more responsibility than what she had originally requested. A total of 25 tenants came away with employment offers after the fair.
