New Board leadership advances the mission of RS EDEN
July 28, 2023 (Minneapolis, MN) – Recently elected to the RS EDEN Board Chair position, Raja Chaudhuri will assume the role immediately. He replaces Marcus Winbush who recently stepped down but will remain involved as a Board Member.
Raja brings a wealth of personal and professional experience to his new role with 25 years in leading organizations, including the last 6 ½ years as a Senior Director at Medtronic Inc. Professionally, Raja has demonstrated excellence in strategic planning, program development and management, global operations, as well as fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, and equity.
“I am humbled and honored to be part of the unique work that RS EDEN has been doing for over 50 years. RS EDEN sits at the intersection of Criminal Justice, Substance Use Disorder, Mental Health, and Housing Systems and advocates for all its participants impacted through systemic inequities and gaps. The communities our participants are part of have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic, racial reckoning, and generational trauma. I have been energized by my engagement with the RS EDEN leadership and fellow board members– and excited to work with the team” said Raja Chaudhuri, RS EDEN Board Chair. “Building on our history, I and the other board members will strive to shape strategy and support programming that is meaningful on the local, state, and national level – in addition to working within legislation and policy advancement to support the mission and vision of RS EDEN.”
“Raja has a depth of personal and professional knowledge that will further advance our goals of achieving excellence,” said Caroline Hood, RS EDEN President, and CEO. “With Raja’s strategic leadership, RS EDEN will have an even greater capacity to drive innovation and effective solutions to complex problems. We will continue to advocate for our participants and significantly enhance our impact such that substance use disorder, mental health, criminal justice and housing systems adapt how they respond to and work to prevent emerging and complex community needs. I look forward to partnering with him, and the entire Board of Directors, in our ongoing pursuit of progress.”
